The Handmade Kew 2016

Following last year’s success as the Handmade event was a sell-out, this year, in Britain it will return to Kew Gardens for the second edition of the Handmade at Kew. Here at the Amazing Blog we love to explore and celebrate Britain for its contemporary arts and crafts and this event will definitely be in our list to go.

This is an international modern craft’s event from the 6th to 9th October, this event offers visitors the opportunity to meet and buy from over 200 designers and makers in the arts and crafts industry. This handmade event has a variety of ceramics, jewellery, fashion and textiles, glass, paper, furniture, metalwork, sculpture and interior accessories.  

Over several days, the picturesque gardens at Kew will give the public a chance to explore the exceptional innovative British and international craftsmanship for both fashion and interiors. This is an amazing experience for the public to understand the culture and collect unique, valuable products and to invest in collections.

The day is full of beautiful views as you are surrounded by an elegant pavilion next to Kew Palace, you can enjoy the gardens and crafts to the full. It’s truly an exceptional day and a really great shopping experience for a family outing. It gives you the opportunity to browse, speak to the maker directly and also listen to the production of the exquisite work of some the world’s most talented craftspeople, also get inspiration and learn facts about this impressive industry. National Ladies' Shooting Day - The Shotgun and Chelsea Bun Club

 

At The Amazing Blog, the working week can be fairly hectic as we are sure you can all relate to! So, when the weekend rolls in we love to mix things up a bit and try something a little different. What better way to do so than with a sport that allows you to hone in your hand-eye coordination - clay shooting!

The Shotgun and Chelsea Bun Club brings women of all ages and skill levels together to enjoy the sport and to get out on the weekends to enjoy the country air and the company of new friends. This year’s National Ladies’ Shooting Day event will be held on June 11th, marking the club's second nation-wide shooting event. More than 1000 women are expected to attend the event at its 24 locations across the country, making it the largest event of its kind.

London Wine Week 2016

Following a hugely successful London Beer Week which saw 10,000 beer drinkers descend on The Old Truman Brewery in February, DrinkUp.London’s latest festival - London Wine Week - taking place this week (23-29 May 2016), was destined to be another great event! Here at The Amazing Blog we love attending events and we adore wine. So when we found out that LWW was wine-ding down this Sunday we promptly added it to our weekend plans.

The festival has returned to Devonshire Square for a third year, where all of the city's wine lovers can gather for a chance to enjoy a tipple or two. Filled with masterclasses, tutored tastings, supper clubs, meet the maker evenings, parties and pop-ups; you will have an opportunity not only to taste the wine and discover new flavours, but also to expand your knowledge about how wine is made or what food goes best with it. London Craft Week 2016

Do you like arts and crafts? We at The Amazing Blog sure do, and we are definitely going to attend London Craft Week. Join us at Craft Central and experience the magic of craftsmanship and true creativity.

From 3rd to 7th of May, Craft Central will be showcasing exceptional craftsmanship from around the world through a journey-of-discovery program, featuring hidden workshops and unknown makers alongside celebrated masters, famous studios, galleries, shops and luxury brands. Discover and witness how world’s most respected makers and artists develop scents of famous fragrances, polish and cut diamonds, hand paint porcelain and shape silver. Meet renowned ceramics, glass engravers, violin makers and see Chinese calligraphy being performed live!

Chelsea Art Fair

The Chelsea Art Fair is turning 21 this year! We at The Amazing Blog are quite big fans of the arts, so we will definitely be making our way over to Chelsea Old Town Hall between the 21st and 24th of April.

The fair will feature 30 UK and International galleries showcasing the works of leading and emerging artists including paintings, drawings, prints, sculptures, and ceramics. With no ceiling on the price of the works, this fair is sure to have the most exceptional pieces.
